PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Targocid 400 mg Injection is a prescription antibiotic used to treat severe bacterial infections in adults and children. It is a narrow spectrum antibiotic that is effective against gram positive bacteria and works by stopping bacterial growth and eliminating the infection. It is administered by a healthcare professional and may be used alone or in combination with other antibiotics when required.

KEY USES AND BENEFITS

Targocid 400 mg Injection is used for the treatment of severe bacterial infections, including infections of the lungs such as pneumonia and urinary tract infections caused by susceptible gram positive bacteria. It works by killing the bacteria responsible for the infection, helping relieve symptoms and prevent the infection from worsening. Completing the full course of treatment as prescribed helps ensure all bacteria are eliminated and reduces the risk of antibiotic resistance.

COMPOSITION AND HOW IT WORKS

Targocid 400 mg Injection contains Teicoplanin as its active ingredient. It is an antibiotic that works by preventing bacteria from forming their protective cell wall, which is essential for their survival. As a result, the bacteria are destroyed, allowing the infection to clear.
